Richardson ISD AVID director announces retirement
Swim began her tenure at Richardson ISD 36 years ago in elementary schools. AVID students in Richardson ISD’s Class of 2022 have earned more than $10 million in college scholarships. Richardson ISD has had 76 Dell Scholars since 2009. As the AVID program has grown, Berkner and Richardson high schools were named as national demonstration schools. Richardson ISD has AVID chapters at 30 of its campuses.
