Owosso’s Macy Irelan, Montrose’s Levi Harber named Flint-area Student-Athletes of Year
FLINT – Owosso’s Macy Irelan and Montrose’s Levi Harber have been named the Kiwanis Club of Flint’s Student-Athletes of the Year. She has been on the softball team since her freshman year and led the Trojans to the Division 2 state championship last year, when she was named first-team All-State, all-region and all-league. She was also a four-year varsity swimmer, making the All-Metro League team three times and serving as team captain twice.
Her class load includes AP English, world history and government in addition to numerous honors courses. Irelan is also a lifeguard and swimming coach, volunteers at youth softball camps, umpires youth softball and volunteers at Owosso concessions. In football, he made the All-State, all-region and all-league teams twice while also making the Flint-area Dream Team as a senior.
In wrestling, he was a 2022 state champion who made the all-league team as a junior and senior. His class load includes honor calculus, honors history, honors literature and honors anatomy.
