Union Local graduation held Friday
MORRISTOWN — Union Local High School’s commencement is set for 6 p. Shelby Hannahs is the valedictorian, and receiving salutatorian honors is Marissa McGary. Hannahs is the daughter of Terrie Toothman and Bill Doty of Bethesda.
Outside of school, her artwork has received first-place awards at the Oglebay Institute Stifel Fine Arts Center and Otterbein University’s Annual Juried High School Art Exhibition. In the fall, Hannahs plans to attend Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with a full tuition scholarship. McGary is the daughter of Chad and Dana McGary of Flushing.
ULHS Principal Zac Shutler will present the class during the ceremony, and board President Dr. Music will be provided by the school band, directed by April Linard, and the school choir, directed by Shayne Woodland.
