Vice President Naidu to visit Gabon, Senegal and Qatar
New Delhi: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu will visit Gabon, Senegal and Qatar from May 30 to June 7 in the first ever visit from India at the level of Vice President to all three countries. Vice President Naidu will be accompanied by a high-level delegation including Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Dr.
The visits to Gabon and to Senegal will add momentum to India’s engagement with Africa and emphasise India’s commitment to the African continent. The Vice President’s State Visit to Senegal will be from June 1 to 3 during which he will hold delegation level talks with President Macky Sall.
His Official Visit to Qatar will be from June 4 to 7 during which he will hold delegation-level talks with Qatar’s Deputy Amir, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Thani, and review bilateral cooperation. People-to-people contacts are at the heart of the historical relations between India and Qatar, with the latter hosting over 750,000 Indians.
